Eliana Cohen, Simple Machine’s newest mentor and Cheltenham High School alumna, is excited to join the team. As an undergraduate at Carnegie Mellon University, she has learned about rapid prototyping in robotics, specifically focusing on electronics. Currently doing research at CMU’s robotics lab, she is continuing prototyping but this time focusing on getting devices to interact with robots. She hopes to help foster students’ passion for engineering, specifically giving expertise to the electronics and programming teams. She says, “I felt a personal duty to give back to the community and feel very thankful that there’s an opportunity to get people excited for engineering.”
